A few days ago I met a really nice guy, we were chatting about computers and software etc. To do me a favour he informed me that I could get all the software I needed at Piratebay. Well aware of this website I informed him that I could not as being a Christian and a follower of Christ the Bible instructs me to keep the law of the land where it doesn't conflict with the law of God. I could immediately perceive the thoughts of many who were in attendance, thoughts I have to say that I too would have been in agreement with had I not known Christ.

Had I been a spectator viewing this odd situation before I knew Christ, I would have at first been offended by the thought that this guy was trying to appear ‘Holier than Thou’, secondly that his views implied that I was a person of low integrity and of questionable morals. (Isn't it strange that though not knowing God most still wish to be viewed, as in someway good and righteous?) However, the overriding thought I would have had towards this ‘holy-roller’ would be that he was a complete idiot to refuse such good advice! 

So finding myself standing there well aware of what was running through everyone's minds I felt as though I should justify my statement, however at certain times and in some situations Christ is better served by not attempting to justify all of your actions but by simply allowing others to reflect on them over time. I said no more on the subject, although I have been thinking about it these past few days.

Many are aware of my current situation, suffering badly with M.E./C.F.S. virtually bedridden for the past ten years and unable to work, I find that my financial situation is dire. Now...with an interest in web building wouldn't it make sense, if rather than spending ages writing all of my code via a text editor (which is very time consuming) I could make some easy money by simply downloading the top web-building program ‘Dreamweaver’ from Piratebay? But then...why stop there, once the line has been crossed what about Photoshop the professional graphic program, that would certainly speed-up my graphics editing and then why not download a few Hollywood movies while I'm at it...where do I stop once committing myself to the lusts of the flesh and the desires of this World?

Somewhere there has to be a line that I shall not cross or should I set my own limits as do others based on my carnal mind and fleshly desires? Or is there a line already declared for me to adhere to? By committing myself to Christ I have decided to follow Him and be stayed at His command. My carnal mind and fleshly desires are of the World and if obeyed will eventually bare there own fruits - fruits that offend God and thus must be punished on that great day. But submitting myself to Christ, I shall be trained in the ways of the Lord and freed from the desires that offend. There are consequences in following the flesh and my Piratebay downloads would certainly lead me somewhere. The carnal mind would say... to financial blessings but the Spiritual would say... that being in rebellion to God's will for my life, to spiritual poverty.

I am sure I have mentioned this before but, the thought that always comes to mind when thinking of the World for me is the thought of...The Great Ship Titanic. Inside this great and glorious ship are 99% of the people beavering away decorating their quarters. Through hard work, craftiness and every type of deceit they gather to themselves riches and belongings in an attempt to live the most comfortable life possible, be they rich or poor. Yet outside in the driving rain, cold and humiliated are a small band of people sitting in a single lifeboat. Through the windows of the ship are many mocking and others shouting out abuse at those who have separated themselves from their values. Yet there are amongst them those who contemplate just what it is that would cause this small band to endure such mockery. Still as the ship tilts, fatally holed they mock on. Whilst perceiving the horrifying situation that is about to take place the small band cries out to those inside to join them but to no avail. Although many would like to join them, even acknowledging the coming doom, they can not endure the thought of being associated with those who are considered to be fools by their fellow occupants but seek another way to be saved, with yet others choosing instead to harden their heart to the truth. Soon, this age will come to it's predicted and certain end and the arrival of a new age shall immediately follow, then the shipwreck of the Titanic will lay forgotten and all of those treasures that men fought over will lay rotting and decayed. But what of it's inhabitants... what of those who desired such precious things and tired and worried themselves to gather those now deserted riches, what will be their end? And what of the tiny foolish band that endured such distain, they will have certainly of received their reward which God has prepared for those that love Him, having in life proven what is in their hearts by their actions. Choosing rather to suffer the shame of the Cross rather than to enjoy the delicacies of this short life. But how many I wonder, thinking they are Christ's and seated in that lifeboat have not yet realised that they are only viewing that little band through a port-hole in that great ship and that their bedfellows are those whose eyes are firmly fixed on this life which is very soon to pass away.

Hmm... I'm a bit behind with things at the moment, the counsel are about to put in some new windows. I've recently had to travel to the other side of Bedford to have an evaluation for having all the mercury removed from my teeth, that travelling has tired me out, currently on an three week online course for JavaScript and as I now have a brilliant new 2010 Macbook Pro, I'm in the process of transferring data, files, apps and passwords etc from my old trusty Powerbook.

I could've taken this all in my stride before I got ill but it takes it out of me at the moment. However, the specialist dentist said the measurements of mercury leakage from my fillings was close to the highest he'd ever recorded and once removed, could give my body the break it needs to overcome and rid itself of it's toxic load.

I have so much I want to do on this site but the little I do is all I can manage at the moment, but 'God Willing' that could all change soon. And there is so much to talk about too, in the twelve years I've been a Christian I have never seen so much moral decline in the populace and attack on the Church regarding freedom of speech as I have in the last two years. It is my view that all this is contributing to the financial disaster we are soon the encounter...when a Nation turns away from God...God turns away from that Nation.
The Queen who took a vow to defend the Church 'appears' to not be doing anything of the kind, and our politicians are so afraid of upsetting anyone that there is not any who will stand against the tide of immoral laws that keep appearing. Thing is, they seem to believe that what the people want they shouldn't be denied but as Jeremiah says "The heart of man is sick and desperately wicked" People need to be ruled and ruled righteously but there is none who cares...or should I say dares
